Altona City Soccer Club has divided the players evenly into two groups based on a number of criteria including player ability, skill development and previous playing experience. This will allow the coaches to tailor appropriate training drills to ensure players develop skills according to current level of ability. It is possible that there may be some ongoing movement between the two player groups to ensure that each team can field a side each week.
Whilst the two under 9 teams have been placed in Western Group Green and Blue (see fixture list), we will notify all players/parents weekly on this website the allocated game to ensure the most appropriate fit with the opposition team. Remember there are no tables and points at the Under 9 level with a strong emphasis on developing skills and getting game time experience for all the kids.
