Free tickets to Victory this Saturday night

Melbourne Victory have given us General Admission tickets to this Saturday’s match vs Gold Coast. Kick off is at 7pm. Reply to Mat or me if you want tickets.

Lunch is 12:30pm for 1:00pm start

We will be meeting at 12:30pm for a 1:00pm start.

2009 end of season lunch

Mathew and Tony have organised to have the end of year lunch function for 2009 at BluFish. Tony has generously offered to host everyone for lunch at a very modest price of $30 per adult and $10 per child.  As usual, there will be a few surprises on the day.

Junior Presentation Day 8 Nov 2009

Junior Presentation Day will be held at Kim Reserve on November 8th, from 11am – 4pm.  I will post further details as they become available.

Wednesday training is on

Training is on tomorrow (Wed 30th Sept) in preparation for the Altona City Cup. The session will be on at the usual time and place.

Altona City Cup 2009 fixture released

Dates for the Altona City Cup have been confirmed.  Refer to the club home page – http://www.altonacitysoccerclub.com.au/home

Our matches will be held on 4th October.  We are in Group A of SSF Kangaroos u9/u10.  There are two round robin matches to be played on Ground 1A at Kim Reserve:

Group A - Round Robin Games, 4th October

• 10:45 am Altona City vs Green Gully (D. Smith)
• 12:15 pm Altona City vs Cairnlea

A semi-final will be played between the winner of Group A against the winner of Group B for a spot in the grand final.

Semi-Final 1, 4th October

• 2:15 pm Group A Winner vs Group B Winner

The grand final will be played  against the winner of the Group C vs Group D semi-final on 18th October.

Take a break – no training this week

There will be no training this week, so everyone can have a break on Wednesday 23 September 2009.

Training is on as usual tonight

Mat will be running a training session at the regular time and place tonight.  Weather looks good, so it should be a pleasant evening.

Next matches are at Keilor Park

Please remember that on Saturday 12 September, we will be participating in the Keilor Park Tournament at Keilor Park Reserve. There are three Altona City teams participating in the u10 age group.  We will be playing as u10 Altona City Gold, in Group 4.  We have three round robin matches (2 x 15mins halves) as follows -

• 9.00 am Altona City Gold vs Green Gully Mustangs

• 11.30 am Altona City Gold vs Melbourne Knights

• 2.00 pm Altona City Gold vs Clifton Hill

Semi-finals will be played two weeks later on Saturday 26th September 2009.
