Parent survey from FFV about SSF

FFV has developed a parent survey to assess the delivery of the Small Sided Football programs offered at clubs in Victoria.

The survey form is available here for you to download. I will also e-mail the form to everyone and Cathy or I will have paper survey forms available for you to complete at training on Monday night.

Vinnie Campelj at Altona City has requested that we each complete the survey form and submit it to the club directly rather than to FFV.  The club would like to collate the survey results prior to sending it to FFV so that they have access to the survey information.  If you would like to submit the form directly to the club, you can complete it and hand it to Ray Chetcuti by Thursday 9th July.  Generally, Ray is at the club Tuesday – Friday nights and is happy to collect the survey forms on any of those nights.

Break from matches, our next game 12 July

With school holidays, we have a break from matches until the 12 July when our Round 10 match will be played against Werribee City at home.  Mathew or I will keep you posted on training plans.

Wednesday 4pm training at Westgate

Mathew has changed Wednesday 1 July training sessions to 4:00 pm at Westgate due to the weather and as a school holiday special.

Free Sausage Sizzle night at the Club Wed 24th

The club has organised a free Sausage Sizzle for the teams that train on Wednesday nights, for Wednesday 24 June.  Training will finish a little early, so come along and have a sausage after training.  The teams that will be there are:

• U8s: Marek’s team
• U10s: Mathew Panopoulos’s team
• U12s: Joe and Victor’s teams
• U14s: Tony and Allen’s teams
• U16 Boys

I sent out an invitation to a free sausage sizzle at the Club next week but it doesn’t seem to have been received by any one so I thought I would send out a reminder.

The Executive Committee have decided to offer each team a free sausage sizzle following training next week.  This will be held on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24th as outlined below:

Tuesday 23 June

The following teams are invited:

U10s: Emma and Ray’s teams
U11s: Neville and Mark’s team (I understand that Mark’s team doesn’t train on either a Tuesday but it would be lovely if they could attend)
U13s: Larry and Matthew’s teams
U15 Girls

Wednesday 24 June

U12s: Joe and Victor’s teams
U14s: Tony and Allen’s teams

Coaches may need to end training a little early on these days.

Can you please confirm your team’s attendance and give an idea of numbers so that enough supplies can arranged.

Tickets for Melbourne Victory vs Fulham

Mathew has secured tickets for every one of our players and an accompanying adult to attend the Melbourne Victory vs Fulham match.  The match will be played at Etihad Stadium on 11 July 2009 ((kick off 7:30pm).

It is an exciting opportunity for our kids to see an English Premier League side with world class players of the calibre of Mark Schwarzer play.  Fulham has had a fantastic 08/09 season, finishing seventh in the league. That is their best ever result and Schwarzer has played a significant role in their success.   Thanks to Mat for sponsoring & organising the tickets!
